Job summary

Join the Patient Booking Department at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board for a fixed-term secondment in North Wales. You will help reduce waiting times by booking outpatient, pre-operative and theatre appointments within a busy call centre, contributing to improved patient access.

We have six vacancies across the Health Board: two in the Central Area (Bodelwyddan or Abergele) and four at Wrexham Maelor Hospital.

Qualifications

• GCSE maths and English at A-C
• NVQ3 or equivalent or experience in a busy office environment
• IT knowledge including Microsoft packages
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Experience with NHS systems or waiting list management (desirable)

Responsibilities

• Booking outpatient clinic appointments, pre-operative appointments and theatre procedures
• Working in a busy appointments call centre as part of a team
• Supporting services to improve waiting times and patient experience
