Job summary

Optical Express in Plymouth is seeking a Patient Advisor to deliver a 5-star service while helping patients through their eye care journey. You will build relationships, perform diagnostic eye scans (training provided) and relay information to the optometrist to ensure a smooth journey.

Ideal candidates are driven, with excellent written and verbal communication, capable of working with and without supervision, and highly organised; weekend work flexibility is required, with a modern working

Responsibilities

• Building strong relationships with our patients
• Performing diagnostic eye scans (full training provided)
• Relaying patient information to the optometrist for a smooth journey
• Maintaining patient records with accurate information
• Arranging affordable finance options for patients
• Scheduling consultations and surgeries with our optometrists and surgeons
• Be driven with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Be self-motivated to work with and without supervision
• Possess strong organisational skills
• Be commercially aware while delivering world-class service

Job description

Location – Plymouth (must be flexible to work weekends)

Salary - From £26,500 plus bonus

It’s our Patient Advisors role to make our patients feel comfortable and relaxed whilst providing a 5-star service. Our Patient Advisors should enjoy meeting new people and be able to demonstrate strong communication skills with both patients and ophthalmic professionals alike.

Your day to day responsibilities may vary however a typical day will involve the following duties:

• Building a strong relationship with our patients
• Performing diagnostic eye scans (full training will be provided)
• Confidently relaying patient information to the optometrist to ensure a smooth patient journey
• Maintaining patient records with accurate and up to date information
• Arranging affordable finance options to suit each individual patient
• Schedule patients’ consultations and surgeries with our optometrists and surgeons
