Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 years related work experience.
• Experience with computer systems including web-based applications and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Registers patients and explains the registration process to patients and answers questions.
• Processes patient payments (co-pays, co-insurance, deductibles) and safeguards cash.
• Completes Medicare Secondary Payer Questionnaire and adjusts coverage.
• Obtains signatures on consent/financial forms and records documents.
• Counsels patients on non-covered services and ABNs.
• Monitors waiting area and maintains smooth registration flow.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and follows safety protocols.
• Registers and verifies demographic and insurance information to ensure timely reimbursement.
