Job summary

You will perform clinical tasks, record vital signs, assist during examinations, collect specimens, manage charts, schedule tests and coordinate patient movements.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• CMA/RMA/CCMA certification/registration required or within 6 months of hire.
• BLS within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assists in conducting clinical care activities under the direction of a provider.
• Sets up for and assists with examinations and procedures; assists with dressing changes.
• Obtains and records vital signs, height and weight.
• Cleans instruments and treatment areas as needed.
• Stocks examination and treatment rooms with medical supplies.
• Conducts phlebotomy as assigned and prepares laboratory specimens.
• Answers telephone inquiries and assists with patient chart organization.
• Transports patients to other hospital departments as necessary.
• Calls in prescriptions as directed by the provider.
• Schedules pre-admission appointments and diagnostic testing.
