Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated Behaviour / Pastoral Support Officer for a mainstream secondary school in Telford. You will support student behaviour, attendance and wellbeing across the school and work with heads of year and the pastoral team to implement supportive strategies.

The successful candidate will have experience with young people, strong behaviour management, and a calm, professional approach.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people in schools, youth work or mentoring environments.
• Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills.
• Calm, consistent and professional approach.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students from diverse backgrounds.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Solid understanding of safeguarding and student welfare.

Responsabilités

• Support students with behaviour, attendance and pastoral needs across the school
• Work closely with Heads of Year and the wider pastoral team
• Provide in-class and out-of-class behavioural support
• Help implement whole-school behaviour policies and interventions
• Support students in developing positive attitudes to learning
• Build strong, professional relationships with students to encourage engagement
• Liaise with teaching staff, parents and external agencies where appropriate
