Job summary

The role supports student behaviour, attendance and wellbeing, works with Heads of Year and the pastoral team, provides in-class and out-of-class support, and helps implement school policies while building positive relationships with students.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people in school/youth work/mentoring.
• Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills.
• A calm, consistent and professional approach.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students from diverse backgrounds.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• A strong understanding of safeguarding and student welfare.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-class and out-of-class behavioural support.
• Support students with behaviour, attendance and pastoral needs across the school.
• Liaise with teaching staff, parents and external agencies where appropriate.
