Marchant Recruitment is seeking a Pastoral Support Officer for a welcoming secondary school in Bedford. The role provides day-to-day support to pupils experiencing academic, social, emotional or behavioural difficulties, working alongside year heads and pastoral leaders to identify concerns and coordinate appropriate interventions.

You will monitor behaviour, support attendance improvement strategies, and maintain accurate records of pastoral interventions.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people in a school, youth work, or similar setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Ability to build positive relationships while maintaining professional boundaries.

Responsabilités

• Provide day-to-day support to pupils with academic, social, emotional or behavioural difficulties.
• Work with heads of year and pastoral leaders to identify concerns and coordinate interventions.
