Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. is partnering with a secondary school in Telford to appoint a permanent Behaviour / Pastoral Support Officer from November 2026. The role focuses on sustaining positive behaviours, improving attendance and supporting student wellbeing across a mainstream setting.

You will work with Heads of Year and the pastoral team to deliver in-class and pastoral support, helping pupils engage with learning and school life on a day-to-day basis.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people in a school, youth work or mentoring setting.
• Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills.
• Safeguarding and student welfare knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Support students with behaviour, attendance and pastoral needs across the school.
• Work closely with Heads of Year and the pastoral team.

Salary: £24,000 - £30,000 per annum (depending on experience)

A secondary school in Telford is seeking to appoint a dedicated and proactive Behaviour / Pastoral Support Officer to join their pastoral team on a permanent basis from November 2026.

This is a key role within the school, supporting student behaviour, attendance and wellbeing across a mainstream secondary setting. The successful candidate will play a vital part in helping students engage positively with learning and school life.

The Role:

• Support students with behaviour, attendance and pastoral needs across the school
• Work closely with Heads of Year and the wider pastoral team
• Provide in-class and out-of-class behavioural support
