Job summary

Teaching Personnel in Stafford is recruiting a dedicated Behaviour / Pastoral Support Officer for a permanent role from September 2026. You will support student behaviour, attendance and wellbeing across a mainstream secondary setting.

The successful candidate will work with Heads of Year and the pastoral team, provide in-class and out-of-class behavioural support, and help implement whole-school behaviour policies to foster positive engagement with learning.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people in school, youth work, mentoring or similar.
• Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills.
• Good understanding of safeguarding and student welfare.

Responsibilities

• Support students with behaviour, attendance and pastoral needs across the school.

Salary: £24,000 – £30,000 per annum (depending on experience)

A secondary school in Stafford is seeking to appoint a dedicated and proactive Behaviour / Pastoral Support Officer to join their pastoral team on a permanent basis from September 2026.

This is a key role within the school, supporting student behaviour, attendance and wellbeing across a mainstream secondary setting. The successful candidate will play a vital part in helping students engage positively with learning and school life.

• Support students with behaviour, attendance and pastoral needs across the school
• Work closely with Heads of Year and the wider pastoral team
