Job summary

E-ACT Heartlands Academy in Birmingham is seeking an Apprentice - Pastoral and Administrator Support on a maternity cover to assist with attendance, wellbeing and engagement, while providing administrative support to the pastoral team.

You will maintain records, monitor attendance, support interventions, build positive relationships with students and families, and work 32.5 hours per week across 39 weeks.

Qualifications

• GCSE Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
• Commitment to completing a relevant apprenticeship qualification.
• Experience of working as part of a team.
• Experience of using Microsoft Office packages.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to the pastoral team, maintaining accurate records relating to attendance, behaviour, safeguarding and student welfare.
• Assist with monitoring attendance and punctuality, producing reports and supporting follow-up communication with families.
• Support students within pastoral areas, helping to promote positive behaviour, wellbeing and engagement in learning.
• Assist with the organisation and delivery of student interventions, mentoring programmes and pastoral initiatives.
• Build positive and professional relationships with students, parents/carers and staff.
