Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a Pastoral Support Manager in Birmingham on a permanent basis, 37 hours per week for 43 weeks of the year. You will work with Progress Leaders to guide students' learning, wellbeing and personal development, and support vulnerable pupils.

Essential: GCSEs including Maths and English, understanding of the National Curriculum, and a proven track record of raising standards and pupil achievement. Benefits include pension, life cover, cycle to work, and CPD opportunities.

Qualifications

• GCSEs including Maths and English (4–9) or equivalent.
• Understanding of the National Curriculum, particularly core subject areas.
• Proven track record of raising standards and pupil achievement.
• Experience supporting the social, emotional and educational development of students.

Responsibilities

• Support the strategic direction of the year group with Progress Leaders.
• Provide guidance around students' learning, emotional and social wellbeing, health and safety, and personal development.
• Work proactively with vulnerable students to raise attainment and wellbeing.
