Job summary

Brook Street is recruiting a Customer Service Assistant for Manchester Piccadilly. You will welcome passengers, provide travel information, handle enquiries, and support safety and security at the station.

This role offers training, a customer‑facing environment, and the chance to work all shifts between early mornings and evenings. A calm, friendly, and proactive approach is essential, with strong communication and a willingness to assist passengers with accessibility needs and luggage.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Customer service or security exposure preferred.
• Able to stay calm under pressure.
• Willingness to work early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist passengers with enquiries about train times, platforms, and station facilities.
• Provide clear, friendly travel information to help people get where they need to be.
• Carry out routine security checks around the station.
• Monitor station activity and report any suspicious behaviour or safety concerns.
• Support passengers who need accessibility assistance, help with luggage, and provide general guidance.
• Handle customer issues or complaints professionally—listening first, then taking appropriate action.
• Work closely with station staff and transport authorities to maintain a safe environment.
