Job summary

Infinitive Resources is seeking a commercially focused Parts Sales Advisor in Sutton-in-Ashfield to manage customer parts enquiries from initial identification and quotation through to order conversion and delivery.

You will work with supply-chain, logistics and franchise partners to ensure timely fulfilment and to drive sales and gross profit while maintaining high levels of customer service and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Identify the correct parts using technical manuals and online parts catalogues.
• Respond to customer orders, enquiries and estimate requests.
• Manage enquiries received by telephone, email and online channels.
• Prepare accurate and timely parts quotations.
• Follow up outstanding quotations and estimates.
• Convert enquiries and estimates into confirmed sales orders.
• Complete contract reviews for customer orders.
• Monitor parts sales, pipeline value and conversion rates.
• Maintain accurate customer, quotation and order information.
• Respond professionally to customer queries.
• Provide customers with updates on pricing, availability and delivery.
• Work with supply-chain and logistics teams to fulfil orders within the required timescales.
• Liaise with franchise partners to support customer requirements and develop additional business.
• Identify opportunities to increase parts sales and gross profit.
• Work towards individual and departmental sales targets.

The successful candidate should have:

• Previous commercial parts, parts sales or technical sales experience.
• Experience identifying parts from manuals or electronic parts systems.
• Strong customer-service and communication skills.
• A professional and confident telephone manner.
• Good commercial awareness.
• Experience preparing quotations and processing customer orders.
• A methodical and analytical approach to work.
• Strong IT skills and experience using parts or order-management systems.
• The ability to manage several enquiries and priorities simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail.
• The ability to work effectively with internal departments, customers and suppliers.

Experience within diesel engines, power generation, automotive, commercial vehicles, plant equipment, engineering or a related technical parts environment would be advantageous.
