Job summary

Hartwell PLC in Watford is seeking a Parts Advisor to join the team. This role supports customers face-to-face and over the phone, handling enquiries, orders and invoicing while coordinating with workshop and service teams.

The ideal candidate has retail/administration experience, a good telephone manner, and a full UK driving license. Strong customer service and communication skills are essential for success in this franchise dealer group.

Responsibilities

• Handle customer enquiries by phone and in person.
• Order, book out parts, invoice and take payment.
• Check in parts deliveries.
• Assist with parts stock checks.
• Liaise with workshop, service advisors and customers.
• Ensure prices entered onto system within required time.
• Contact customers about promotions that are available from time to time.
• Pick parts and check for damage or shortages.
• Pre-pick parts for jobs booked into Workshop.

Key responsibilities of the Parts Advisor:

• Deal with any customer enquiries over the phone and face to face
• Ordering, booking out parts, invoicing and taking payment
• Checking in parts deliveries
• Assisting with parts stock check
• Liaising with the workshop, service advisors and customers
• Ensuring prices are entered onto VHC within required time
• Contact customers offering special promotions that are available from time to time
• Pick parts and check for damage or shortages
• Pre-pick parts for those jobs pre-booked into Workshop

Theideal Parts Advisor:

• Retail / administration / reception experience.
• Good telephone manner.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Previous recent experience as a Parts Advisor in a Franchised Automotive dealership or Parts Factor operation preferable.
• Full, valid and clean UK driving license.
• Candidates must have the ability to communicate at all levels.
