Job summary

Our client, a reputable automotive dealership in Leicester, seeks an experienced Parts Advisor to join their trade and retail parts department. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career in a fast-paced, professional environment.

Benefits include a competitive basic salary of £28,800 and an OTE of £33,300, with a Monday to Friday week and one in three Saturdays (8:00am-1:00pm). Uniform and training are provided and there are clear progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Parts Advisor in the automotive industry is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle parts and automotive products.
• Experience dealing with Trade and Retail customers is advantageous.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Confident IT skills and familiarity with catalogues and DMS.
• Well-organised with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Supply parts to Trade and Retail customers promptly and accurately.
• Handle customer enquiries via telephone, email, and face-to-face.
• Identify and order correct parts using manufacturer and parts catalogues.
• Provide clear quotations and pricing.
• Process parts orders and ensure timely availability.
• Liaise with technicians and workshop teams to facilitate jobs.
• Maintain stock levels and organise deliveries.
• Manage customer orders and update on status and delivery times.
• Recognise sales opportunities to maximise parts sales and achieve targets.
• Deliver a high standard of customer service at all times.

Duties of a Parts Advisor:

• Supplying parts to Trade and Retail customers promptly and accurately
• Handling customer enquiries via telephone, email, and face-to-face interactions
• Identifying and ordering the correct parts using manufacturer and parts catalogues
• Providing clear, accurate quotations and pricing
• Processing parts orders and ensuring timely availability
• Liaising closely with technicians and workshop teams to facilitate efficient job completion
• Maintaining and checking stock levels, organising incoming parts deliveries
• Managing customer orders, updating customers on status and delivery timesRecognising sales opportunities to maximise parts sales and achieve targets
• Delivering a high standard of customer service at all times

Requirements of a Parts Advisor:

• Previous experience as a Parts Advisor within the automotive industry is highly desirable
• Strong knowledge of vehicle parts and automotive products
• Experience dealing with both Trade and Retail customers is advantageous
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Confident IT skills, familiar with parts catalogues and dealership management systems
• Well-organised with strong attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively within a busy team environment
