ASI Recruitment is seeking a knowledgeable Parts Advisor / Workshop Support for a busy independent automotive workshop near Gomshall. You will source, order and verify parts to keep technicians supplied and the workshop running smoothly.

The role requires hands‑on involvement, experience in automotive parts, and proficiency with ordering systems. Monday to Friday, 8:00am‑5:00pm with 20 days + Bank Holidays and a proactive, practical approach to duties.

Parts Advisor / Workshop Support

Salary: £33,000 to £35,000

Location: Near Gomshall

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

Holiday: 20 days + Bank Holidays

Are you an experienced Parts Advisor looking for a new opportunity within a friendly, independent workshop?

We're looking for a knowledgeable and organised Parts Advisor / Workshop Support professional to join an established independent automotive workshop near Gomshall.

This is a hands‑on role working closely with the workshop technicians, ensuring they have the right parts when they need them and helping to keep the day‑to‑day operation running smoothly.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for sourcing, ordering and checking automotive parts, supporting the technicians and ensuring parts are available for scheduled and ongoing work.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Ordering automotive parts for workshop jobs
• Checking parts on arrival for accuracy and quality
• Liaising with suppliers and managing orders
• Using parts ordering and stock management systems
• Identifying the correct parts for different vehicles and applications
• Supporting technicians with parts requirements
• Keeping parts organised and ensuring the workshop has what it needs

About You

We're looking for someone who already understands the automotive parts environment and can confidently identify the parts required for different jobs.

You’ll ideally have:

• Previous experience in a Parts Advisor / Automotive Parts role
• Good knowledge of vehicle parts and components
• Experience using parts ordering systems
• Strong organisational and attention‑to‑detail skills
• The ability to work effectively with technicians and suppliers
• A proactive, practical approach to getting things done

Experience within an independent workshop would be advantageous, but most importantly, you’ll need a solid understanding of automotive parts and how the parts ordering process works.
