Job summary

Cygnet Group is seeking caring and motivated Support Workers to assist adults with autism and learning disabilities at Oakhurst Lodge. You'll work on a 20-hour permanent contract with day shifts across a 7-day rota, providing support to live more independently.

We offer fully paid training, 28 days of annual leave, pension and career development opportunities. DBS check is required to join our dedicated team.

• Enhanced DBS check required.

About the Role

Looking for a stable, rewarding career with great variety? Join our team on a 20-hour permanent contract , working 12-hour, 10-hour, or 8-hour day shifts across a 7-day rota .

What to expect

• Around two weekends per month
• Early shifts from 7:15 am
• Later shifts finishing by 10:00 pm

Oakhurst Lodge is an 8-placement specialist residential service for adults with autism and learning disabilities who may present with behaviours that challenge. We aim to provide a safe, comfortable and effective care environment for those in our care, promoting independence and community integration.

To thrive in this role, you'll have:

• Experience supporting adults with Autism and/or Learning Disabilities or working within a care setting.
• An understanding of behaviours that may challenge, and a positive, proactive approach to support
• A caring, compassionate, and enthusiastic attitude with a genuine desire to help others succeed
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with residents, families, and colleagues
• A team-focused approach, with the ability to work collaboratively in a supportive environment

• A commitment to promoting independence, choice, dignity, and wellbeing for the people we support
