Bishop Burton College is seeking a Study Skills Mentor to support Higher Education students. You will help learners turn challenging assignments into clear plans, build confidence and develop independent study habits through mentoring, workshops and tailored guidance.

The role requires experience in education, an understanding of Higher Education and knowledge of working with learners with specific learning needs. A degree or equivalent qualification is required.

Qualifications

• Experience of supporting students in education and an understanding of Higher Education.
• Knowledge of working with learners with specific learning needs.
• A degree or equivalent qualification in a related subject is required.

Responsibilities

• Help students turn assignments into achievable plans and build confidence.
• Support academic writing, referencing, note-taking and time management through mentoring, group sessions and workshops.
• Collaborate with academic and support staff to provide coordinated, personalised support.
