Job summary

Northbrook College in Worthing is seeking a Learning Mentor to provide mentoring support and help students achieve their programme of study. You will motivate learners, monitor progress, and encourage personal reflection and target setting in a friendly, supportive environment.

The role is term-time and part-time, with various hours to suit, and offers training and development opportunities to progress within education.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting and advocating for young people.
• Understanding the needs and progression opportunities for young people.
• Qualified to level 3, with level 2 literacy and numeracy.

Responsibilities

• Provide students with mentoring support to help them achieve their programme of study.
• Motivate learners and monitor their progress in learning, encouraging personal evaluation, reflection and target setting.
• Encourage and support students in attended learning sessions.
