Job summary

National Instruments is seeking a Classroom Assistant – Special Educational Needs to support pupils with SEN under guidance. The role involves enabling access to the curriculum, aiding with personal care needs, and assisting in the delivery of Education Plans within a primary school setting.

The post offers flexible working during term holidays and two part-time options: 17.5 hours and 20 hours per week. The position may be permanent or fixed-term, with a June 30, 2027 end date for fixed-term

Qualifications

• Hold a minimum of a Level 2 qualification in a relevant area from a recognised awarding body.
• Must have at least 6 weeks experience in a formal learning environment or placement as part of a qualification.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the educational support and care of pupils with SEN within and outside the classroom.
• Support with implementation of Education Plan/Care Plan and contribute to evaluation of support.
