Job summary

24x7 Group is seeking a part-time driver to provide safe and reliable transport for students and adults with special transport needs in the Alnwick area. The role involves driving routes on school days, offering flexible hours, and ensuring passenger safety.

No prior experience is required as full training is provided; a UK driving licence (car category) and ability to pass an Enhanced DBS check are essential. Vehicle is provided and fuel cards are available as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving licence (car category) and right to work in the UK.
• Ability to pass Enhanced DBS check and Group 2 medical assessment.
• Training provided, no prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Drive passengers safely to and from schools or other locations.
• Build professional, friendly relationships with passengers, parents, carers, and school staff.
• Follow safety procedures and company guidelines at all times.
• Available for both morning and afternoon shifts on school days.

As a valued member of our team, you’ll provide safe and reliable transport for children and adults with special needs or vulnerabilities. You’ll be responsible for:

• Ensuring passengers travel safely to and from schools or other locations
• Building professional, friendly relationships with passengers, parents, carers, and school staff
• Following safety procedures and company guidelines at all times
• Available for both morning and afternoon shifts on school days

What You Need

• A valid UK driving licence (car category)
• Confidence in driving a variety of vehicles, including people carriers and wheelchair-accessible vehicles (training provided)
• Ability to pass an Enhanced DBS Check (criminal record check)
• Completion of a Group 2 medical assessment to meet licensing standards
• Right to work in the UK
