Job summary

Enniskillen Integrated Primary School is seeking a part-time cook for the school canteen. You will assist in preparing meals, ensuring hygiene and safety, and supporting the Senior/Unit Catering Supervisor. The job includes flexible day patterns and duties to support efficient service.

The role requires HACCP awareness, relevant qualifications or two years’ catering experience, and willingness to undertake training. Retainer fees may be paid during school holidays.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 2 in food preparation and cooking or equivalent.
• Two years’ experience in food preparation and cooking (catering).
• Knowledge of HACCP.
• Willingness to undertake job related training.

Responsibilities

• Skilled cooking activities for the full range of meals.
• Assist with record keeping and hygiene/health & safety tasks.
• Assist in directing and supervising other staff.
• Operational control of service points including transported meals.
• Stock-taking, stores organisation and deliveries reception.
• Promote the service to parents, principals and customers.
