Job summary

Education Authority in Antrim seeks a part-time Catering Assistant to support the daily operation of the school catering unit. You will participate in food prep, serving meals, maintaining dining areas and hygiene, and assisting with promotions to pupils and parents.

The role requires good communication, teamwork and organisational skills, and adherence to safety and school values. Hours per week are 20, with a retainer paid during school holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare simple foods and beverages and assist with serving meals.

• Maintain hygiene in kitchen, servery, and dining area; wash up and clear areas.
• Record temperatures for food safety and comply with regulations.
• Promote meals to pupils, parents and staff and support service delivery.
• Cooperate with central kitchen and other staff to ensure smooth operation.
