Education Authority in Belfast invites applications for a Part-Time Mobile Cook. You will assist the Senior/Unit Catering Supervisor in meal prep and cooking, ensuring hygienic service, portion control and customer satisfaction.

The role involves menu support, stock control, and training, with duties extending to transport meals and general kitchen management. The post requires HACCP knowledge and prior catering experience, with a retainer during school holidays.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 2 in food preparation and cooking or equivalent, or higher.
• Two years’ experience in food preparation and cooking within catering.
• Knowledge of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP).

Responsabilités

• Assist with preparation of menus and meal portions.
• Maintain hygiene and food safety, including temperature checks.
• Supervise other staff and assist with stock, receipts and ordering.
• Handle service points and prepare transported meals.
• Assist with meal planning, kitchen admin and training as needed.
• General kitchen duties: wash-up, clean, set up, and close.
• Promote the service to parents, principals and customers.
