Job summary

Chartwells, part of Compass Group UK&I, is seeking a Catering Supervisor to oversee catering and service operations at our education sites. The role is part-time, contracted to 30 hours per week and 43.2 weeks per year, with weekday day shifts.

You will lead kitchen and service teams, ensure food quality and customer service, monitor KPIs with your line manager, and uphold health and safety standards across all catering teams. Experience and Basic Food Hygiene certification are important.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years catering experience.
• Hold a Basic Food Hygiene certificate.
• Experience managing teams in a catering environment.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare delicious food to high standards.
• Supervise culinary and catering teams to maintain service quality.
• Communicate with line manager to monitor KPIs and targets.
• Represent Compass Group UK&I and maintain a positive brand image.
• Liaise between customers and teams to exceed expectations.
• Train and develop teams to excel in their roles.
• Implement and review Health & Safety standards across all catering and service teams.
