Job summary

Chartwells, part of Compass Group UK&I, is seeking an experienced Catering Supervisor to oversee catering and service operations across our education sites on a 25-hour-per-week contract, averaged over 43.2 weeks per year. You'll manage kitchens and counters, ensuring exceptional food and customer service while modelling the Compass values.

Ideal candidates will have at least two years of catering experience, a Basic Food Hygiene certificate, and strong communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality food to the highest standards.
• Supervise culinary and catering teams to deliver impeccable food and service.
• Communicate with line manager to monitor KPIs and targets.
• Represent Compass Group UK&I and maintain a positive brand image.
• Liaise between customers and culinary/service teams to exceed expectations.
• Train and support teams, leading from the front.
• Implement and review Health & Safety standards across all catering and service teams.
