Part-Time School Facilities Caretaker

Job summary

The County High School Leftwich is seeking a flexible Caretaker to join the site management team on a permanent basis. The role is 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 12pm–6pm, with term-time plus 4 weeks.

You will maintain the building and grounds, carry out minor repairs and improvements, and support the cleaning team to uphold high standards across the campus. As a registered key holder you will be responsible for security of the premises.

Qualifications

• A good standard of literacy and numeracy.
• An accredited qualification in joinery, electrical or joinery is desirable.
• Understanding of Health & Safety requirements is essential.
• Good communication, written and verbal skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining the building including the games area and outside play areas, carrying out minor repairs, improvements and general maintenance tasks.
• As a registered key holder you will be responsible for the security of the premises and its contents.
• You will manage the cleaning team and support their activities in maintaining the standards of our school.
