Job summary

Education Authority is seeking a part-time Catering Assistant to actively participate in the daily operation of the catering unit at St Patrick's College Dungannon. You will assist in food preparation, serving meals, and helping maintain hygienic service for pupils and staff.

The role involves meal service, cleaning, temperature recording, and adhering to school policies. Hours are 11.15am–2.15pm, Monday to Friday, with a 30-minute lunch break, across 12.5 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Essential: effective communication to support team work and customers.

• Desirable: experience in catering or food service would support performance.

Responsibilities

• Basic food and beverage preparation, including vegetables and snacks.
• Simple cooking and reconstitution of prepared food.
• Organising and controlling food service points and serving meals.
• Assisting with promotion of meals to pupils, parents and staff.
• Maintaining contact with central kitchen regarding service delivery.
• Prepare dining area and set tables and serving points.
• General kitchen and dining room duties including washing up and cleaning.
