Job summary

Education Authority is seeking a Mobile Catering Assistant to join the school catering unit at Dundonald. You will assist with food preparation, simple cooking, and serving meals to pupils, with duties across dining areas and central kitchens where applicable.

The role emphasises hygiene, customer service, and adherence to school policies, with a retainer paid during school holidays. Working pattern is Monday to Friday, 16.25 hours per week, latest finish 2:30pm.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership and people management skills.

• Strong planning, organisational and decision-making capabilities.
• Motivation to provide good food and customer service for pupils.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food and beverages and vegetables using appropriate equipment.
• Assist with simple cooking and reconstitution of prepared food.
• Organise and control food service points and dining areas.
• Serve meals and snacks and support meal promotion to pupils and parents.
• Maintain hygiene and cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas and equipment.
• Record temperatures for control purposes as required.
• Comply with statutory requirements and school policies.
