Job summary

Education Authority is seeking a part-time Catering Assistant to support the daily operation of the Catering Unit at Down High School, Downpatrick. You will work 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, contributing to meal preparation, service and hygiene in a busy school environment.

Reporting to the Senior/Unit Catering Supervisor, you will assist with dining area setup, serving, and general duties, ensuring high standards of hygiene and customer service for pupils and staff.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic food and beverage preparation.
• Support simple cooking and reconstitution of prepared food.
• Help organise and control dining service points.
• Assist with serving meals and snacks to pupils and staff.
• Promote meals to pupils, parents and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas.
• Record temperatures for control and safety purposes.
