Job summary

Compass Group UK&I's Chartwells is seeking an experienced Catering Supervisor to oversee our education catering and service operations on a part-time basis. The role contracts to 25 hours per week and runs across 43.8 weeks per year, with responsibilities spanning kitchen and service counters to deliver exceptional food experiences.

You will supervise culinary and catering teams, monitor KPIs, and liaise with customers and management to ensure brand-wide standards and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years catering experience.
• Hold a Basic Food Hygiene certificate.
• Experience managing teams in a catering environment.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ambitious and motivated to upskill.

Responsibilities

• Prepare delicious food to high standards.
• Supervise culinary and catering teams to ensure impeccable service.
• Communicate with line manager to monitor KPIs and targets.
• Represent Compass Group UK&I and maintain a positive brand image.
• Liaise between customers and teams to exceed expectations.
• Support and train teams, leading from the front to enable excellence.
• Implement and review Health & Safety standards across all catering and service teams.
