Job summary

Concept Resources is seeking a reliable School Catering Assistant to support a primary school in Burgess Hill. The role offers part-time hours within school time (10:00am–2:00pm) and is a temporary cover position through end October 2026.

The successful candidate will assist with food preparation, serving meals, and maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety in the kitchen and dining areas.

Qualifications

• Typical duties include food preparation and service for meals.
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene.
• Follow food safety and health & safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the preparation of food and school meals
• Serving meals to pupils and staff
• Setting up and clearing down the dining area
• Washing dishes, utensils and kitchen equipment
• Cleaning kitchen surfaces and food preparation areas
• Maintaining excellent standards of food hygiene
• Supporting the wider catering team as required
• Following all food safety and health & safety procedures
