Job summary

Concept Resources is seeking a reliable School Catering Assistant to work in a primary school in Burgess Hill. This part-time, school-hours role runs from 10:00am to 2:00pm.

Contract: Temporary cover until 18 September 2026; Start: Immediate. You will support the school catering team with the preparation and service of meals, ensuring the kitchen and dining areas operate safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the preparation of food and school meals
• Serving meals to pupils and staff
• Setting up and clearing down the dining area
• Washing dishes, utensils and kitchen equipment
• Cleaning kitchen surfaces and food preparation areas
• Maintaining excellent standards of food hygiene
• Supporting the wider catering team as required
• Following all food safety and health & safety procedures
