Job summary

Concept Resources is recruiting a reliable School Catering Assistant for a primary school in Burgess Hill, offering part-time school-hours work from 10:00am to 2:00pm. This is a temporary cover role starting immediately and lasting until 18 September 2026.

You will support the catering team with the preparation and service of meals to pupils and staff, help to maintain high standards of food hygiene, and assist with dining area set-up and cleaning, following all safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the preparation of food and school meals
• Serving meals to pupils and staff
• Setting up and clearing down the dining area
• Washing dishes, utensils and kitchen equipment
• Cleaning kitchen surfaces and food preparation areas
• Maintaining excellent standards of food hygiene
• Supporting the wider catering team as required
• Following all food safety and health & safety procedures
