Job summary

Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a part-time rota coordinator to join the Surgical Information team. The role involves day-to-day management of consultant and doctor rotas, with a strong emphasis on planning, organisation, and effective communication.

You will work with clinical leads to resolve scheduling enquiries, update the scheduling system, and ensure smooth operation across three major locality hospitals and surrounding clinics.

Qualifications

• Excellent planning and organisation skills.
• Strong communication abilities and ability to work independently.
• Experience coordinating surgical/anaesthetic rotas is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Generate and manage surgical/anaesthetic rotas and to investigate and resolve scheduling enquiries as they arise.
• Investigates rota enquiries from consultants and doctors and assigns and/or reallocates resources where required.
• Receiving updates to published rotas, analysing the impact of these changes and escalating unresolved issues before updating the scheduling system.
• Autonomously resolve roster problems by working closely with clinical leads and clinicians.
