Job summary

Poundstretcher Northampton is recruiting a Retail Security Officer through Kingdom Group to join our team at 34 Gold Street, Northampton. You will protect customers, staff and assets while delivering excellent customer service in a busy retail environment.

The role is permanent and part-time, 18 hours per week, Friday and Saturday 9:00am–6:00pm. SIA Door Supervisor Licence required. £12.71 per hour with pension, training, overtime and access to an early pay scheme.

Qualifications

• Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Professional approach with strong observational skills.
• Good problem-solving abilities and sound judgement.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Full five-year checkable employment history.
• Retail security experience desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Providing a visible security presence within the store.
• Conducting regular store patrols.
• Monitoring and reporting incidents.
• Completing Incident Reports and Daily Occurrence Book (DOB) entries.
• Preventing theft, loss, and anti-social behaviour.
• Carrying out surveillance around the store.
• Supporting store management and staff.
• Building positive relationships with customers, tenants, and visitors.
• Resolving issues and conflict in a calm and professional manner.
• Ensuring all security procedures are followed.
• Delivering excellent customer service at all times.
