Job summary

Wastekit, part of phs Group, is seeking a Regional Operations Controller on a 20-hour-per-week basis in the Midlands to coordinate service activities and support engineers in the field. You will handle customer enquiries, schedule engineers and ensure high service standards.

The role requires strong organisational, communication and IT skills, a proactive approach and familiarity with service management systems.

Qualifications

• Experience in a service administration, scheduling, planning or customer service environment.
• Excellent communication skills with a professional telephone manner.
• Strong customer service skills with internal and external customers.
• Experience coordinating workloads, appointments or engineer schedules.
• Good IT skills and confidence using business systems and scheduling platforms.
• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a busy environment.
• Experience working to deadlines and maintaining accuracy under pressure.
• A proactive approach to problem solving and customer support.
• Understanding of service level agreements (SLAs) and customer expectations.

Responsibilities

• Managing incoming customer enquiries and service requests, ensuring professional handling and resolution.
• Scheduling and coordinating Service Engineer workloads to maximise efficiency and meet requirements.
• Creating, updating and managing service appointments, updating customers on progress and timescales.
• Preparing repair quotations, processing service documentation and maintaining accurate records.
• Supporting engineers with ordering parts, materials and equipment and ensuring service administration is completed on time.
