Job summary

Confidential in Liverpool is seeking a Part-Time Receptionist to join our team. The role involves greeting visitors, assisting with enquiries, and maintaining smooth front-desk operations. You will support conference facilities, manage mail and calls, and perform light admin tasks.

This temporary position offers 21 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm, at a pay rate of £13.59 per hour. A customer-focused attitude and proficiency with Microsoft Office are essential.

  • Follow security procedures and monitor visitors using CCTV.
  • Perform basic admin duties (stock checks, printing, laminating, shredding).
  • Support conference facilities and use White space software to coordinate spaces.
  • Prepare documents using Excel and Word.
  • Keep stationery stocked and organised.
  • Meet deadlines and handle additional duties as required.

Join Our Team as a Part Time Receptionist

Position Details:


  • Contract Type: Temporary until December

  • Hours: 21 hours per week - you will have to be able to work between Monday to Friday- 8am-5pm

About the Role:

As a Receptionist, you will be a key player in providing exceptional support . Your role will be diverse and rewarding, ensuring that visitors, colleagues, and customers receive the highest level of service. You will be the friendly face that greets visitors, assists with conference facilities, and keeps the reception running smoothly.


Key Responsibilities:

What You'll Do:


  • As the first point of contact for visitors, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere.

  • Greet & Welcome Visitors: Provide a warm and professional welcome to all guests, ensuring they feel valued and supported.

  • Assist with Enquiries: Handle queries both over the phone and face-to-face, ensuring prompt and effective communication.

  • Operate the Switchboard: Manage incoming calls and sort mail with professionalism and efficiency.

  • Security Procedures: Adhere to security protocols by issuing passes and monitoring visitors using CCTV.

  • Basic Administration Duties:


    • Conduct stock takes of provisions

    • Handle printing, photocopying, binding, laminating, and shredding tasks

    • Produce certificates as required


  • Manage Conference Facilities: Utilise White space software to coordinate meeting spaces.

  • Document Preparation: Use Excel and Word to create and manage documents.

  • Maintain Stock Levels: Ensure the stationery cupboard is well stocked and organised.

  • Work to Deadlines: Prioritise tasks effectively to meet deadlines.

  • Additional Duties: Undertake other responsibilities, aligned with your grade.
