Job summary

Lane End Surgery (Dr Sprake & Partners) is seeking an enthusiastic Practice Nurse to join our GP team. This part-time role (16 hours over Tue and Wed) offers the opportunity to develop a broad range of clinical skills within a supportive primary care environment.

You will work autonomously within your scope while collaborating with GPs and the wider team. Experience welcomed, as well as nurses seeking to develop in general practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide general nursing care and treatment to patients.
• Undertake chronic disease reviews and management.
• Support patients with long-term conditions.
• Carry out health assessments and clinical observations.
• Administer vaccinations and immunisations per guidance.
• Undertake cervical screening where trained.
• Wound care and management of minor injuries.
• Provide health promotion and lifestyle advice.
• Maintain accurate clinical records.
• Follow professional and organisational standards.
• Participate in audits and quality improvement.
