Hook Surgery is seeking a motivated Practice Nurse to join our GP team on a part-time basis. You will work autonomously within the multidisciplinary team, delivering broad nursing services, health promotion and chronic disease management.

You will perform health assessments, immunisations, wound care and patient education, while maintaining clinical records and supporting infection control. UK NHS context and team collaboration are central to the role.

Qualifications

• NMC registration is essential to practise.
• Cytology training (Smears/HPV) is required.
• Immunisations for children and travel must be current.
• Experience with chronic disease reviews is expected.
• FeNo training is desirable for diabetes care.
• Diabetes specialist qualification is advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Deliver a broad range of general practice nursing services.
• Conduct health assessments, routine examinations and chronic disease reviews.
• Administer immunisations, vaccinations, injections, and medications per guidelines.
• Provide cervical screening, wound care, dressings and treatment room services.
• Support health promotion and self-management of long‑term conditions.
• Maintain accurate, confidential patient records and work with the GP team.
