Job summary

Benchill Medical Practice in South Manchester is recruiting a Practice Nurse to join our busy NHS General Practice. The role involves managing long-term conditions, immunisations, travel health and cervical screening within a supportive MDT.

We are seeking an experienced, patient-centred nurse who can deliver evidence-based care, maintain accurate records, and contribute to QOF targets and service development. Flexible 3 days per week available.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Practice Nurse in Primary Care.
• Evidence of CPD and NMC registration.
• Experience with chronic disease management, immunisations, travel health, and cervical screening.

Responsibilities

• Deliver chronic disease reviews for long-term conditions including diabetes, asthma, COPD, hypertension and CVD.
• Provide childhood and adult immunisations per guidelines.
• Undertake travel health consultations and vaccinations.
• Perform cervical cytology screening.
• Maintain accurate clinical records using EMIS Web.
• Support QOF achievement and recall programmes.
• Collaborate with GPs, HCAs, Pharmacists and the MDT.
• Participate in audits and quality improvement activities.
• Maintain professional registration and CPD as per NMC requirements.
