Job summary

Staveleigh Medical Centre in Stalybridge is seeking a motivated Practice Nurse to join our friendly team. This part-time role offers flexible hours and a supportive environment focused on high-quality patient care and teamwork.

You will undertake nursing duties including chronic disease management, immunisations, and cervical screening, work with the wider primary care team, maintain accurate records, educate patients, and contribute to service improvements while upholding professional standards.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (Adult) with current NMC registration.
• Cervical screening qualification or willingness to undertake training.
• Immunisation/vaccination training or willingness to complete.
• Experience in general practice or primary care setting.
• Experience in long-term condition management (e.g. diabetes, hypertension).
• Experience in administering vaccinations and immunisations across lifespan.
• Experience of cervical screening procedures.

Responsibilities

• Deliver general practice nursing services and other clinical procedures.
• Support management of long-term conditions (diabetes, asthma, COPD, hypertension) including reviews and care planning.
• Administer immunisations and vaccinations per guidelines.
• Undertake cervical screening per current protocols.
• Promote health and wellbeing through health promotion clinics and advice.
• Provide patient education to support self-management.
• Maintain accurate clinical records per policies and standards.
• Work with GPs and wider team; participate in infection prevention.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and audits.
