Job summary

PDSA is seeking a friendly Receptionist to join our New Cross team on a part-time basis. You will be the first point of contact for clients and their pets, delivering excellent service, handling calls, and guiding customers through visits and payments. The role suits someone organised, reliable and able to multitask in a busy veterinary setting.

Shift pattern includes mornings on weekdays, with occasional weekends; full training provided, and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Previous office or reception experience is an advantage, but not essential.
• Strong communication and a friendly, professional telephone manner.
• Organised, reliable and able to prioritise workload in a busy environment.
• Willing to work varied shifts including some weekends and bank holidays.

Responsibilities

• Process clients attending the hospital and handle telephone enquiries.
• Encourage appropriate financial contributions from clients and maintain accurate PDSA paperwork.
• Provide sympathetic, courteous service and help clients feel supported.
• Work as part of a team in a fast-paced reception.
