Job summary

Bradley Environmental Consultants – powered by Vadella – seeks a Part-Time Qualified Laboratory Analyst for our UKAS-accredited lab in Blackpool. You will perform asbestos bulk sample analyses to ISO/IEC 17025 standards, maintain quality records, and contribute to continues improvement within a nationwide consultancy.

The role requires a P401 qualification, 12+ months’ experience in a UKAS-lab, strong IT skills, and the ability to work both independently and in a team. Competitive benefits apply.

Qualifications

• BOHS P401 qualification is essential.
• UKAS-accredited asbestos laboratory experience is required (12+ months).
• Strong attention to detail and written/verbal communication are essential.

Responsibilities

• Analyse asbestos bulk samples in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation.
• Identify and report asbestos-containing materials using approved analytical techniques.
• Produce accurate laboratory reports for internal and external clients.
• Maintain laboratory records per quality procedures.
• Ensure compliance with UKAS requirements and health & safety legislation.
• Participate in internal quality assurance and proficiency testing.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and laboratory safety.
• Engage in continuing professional development and training.
