Job summary

Bradley Environmental Consultants – Powered by Vadella, Maidstone, is seeking a Part-Time P401 Qualified Laboratory Analyst to join our UKAS-accredited laboratory.

You will analyse asbestos bulk samples in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025, maintain quality procedures, and contribute to reports for internal and external clients, while upholding safety and quality standards. This role offers part-time hours on-site with opportunities for development within the Vadella Group.

Qualifications

• BOHS P401 qualification is essential.
• Minimum of 12 months' experience in a UKAS-accredited asbestos laboratory.
• Thorough understanding of asbestos bulk sample analysis and laboratory quality procedures.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Experience using TEAMS (desirable).
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage and organise workloads independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Analyse asbestos bulk samples in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation requirements.
• Accurately identify and report asbestos-containing materials using approved analytical techniques.
• Produce accurate laboratory reports for internal teams and external clients.
• Maintain laboratory records and documentation in accordance with company quality procedures.
• Work in compliance with UKAS requirements, company procedures and health & safety legislation.
• Participate in internal quality assurance programmes, audits and proficiency testing.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and laboratory safety.
• Undertake continuing professional development and training as required.
