Job summary

Marstep Resourcing Solutions in Flint is seeking an Operations Coordinator for 24 hours per week. The role is mainly on site, with scope for some hybrid working after you are established.

You will manage purchasing, order administration and warehouse tasks: raising purchase orders, checking accuracy, coordinating with manufacturers, processing sales orders, packing and dispatching goods, and ensuring on‑time delivery.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in purchasing, order processing, operations or warehouse coordination.
• Proven ability to solve problems and get things right first time.
• Experience improving or correcting working procedures.
• Hands-on approach across desk work and warehouse tasks.
• Good judgment and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail on dates, prices and orders.
• Comfort with computers, order/stock systems and email.
• Willingness to try new working methods and challenge old ones.

Responsibilities

• Raise purchase orders from sales orders and verify accuracy.
• Send POs to manufacturers with due dates and chase confirmations.
• Keep prices on POs accurate and up to date.
• Coordinate with customers on specifications and order details; finalize orders for invoicing before dispatch.
• Handle goods in and out; perform quality checks; pack for dispatch.
• Assist with pre-wiring and provide warehouse/technical support as needed.
• Follow established processes and look for improvements to workflows.
