Job summary

Co-op Group in Wroxham (NR12 8RY) is recruiting a Funeralcare team member for part-time 15 hours per week, including an on-call rota. You will assist with the preparation, transport and personal care of the deceased, maintaining professionalism, dignity and health & safety standards.

No prior funeral industry experience is required as full training and ongoing support are provided. A full UK manual driving licence is essential, and you should be comfortable with physical duties and compassionate

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence
• Ability to perform physical aspects of the role (manual lifting) with training provided
• Good IT skills and ability to use devices and learn new apps
• Ability to remain calm and compassionate in emotional circumstances
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to regulatory policies

Responsibilities

• Collect the deceased from various locations in a professional and empathetic manner
• Bear coffins on the day of the funeral and drive funeral vehicles
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and facilities, including vehicles
• Prepare coffins and engrave name plates
• Prepare the deceased for viewings and the funeral
• Maintain client management applications daily, keeping records updated
