Job summary

Co-op Digital is hiring a Funeral Service Crew member in Wroxham. This part-time role (15 hours/week) includes joining the on-call rota and performing duties to transport and prepare the deceased with the utmost professionalism.

No prior funeral-industry experience is required as full training and ongoing support are provided, along with competitive salary, pension, and product/service discounts through Co-op benefits.

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence required.
• Ability to perform the physical aspects of the role with training provided.
• Good IT skills and ability to learn new applications and systems.
• Ability to remain calm and empathetic in emotional situations.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to policies.

Responsibilities

• Collect the deceased from various locations in a professional and empathetic manner.
• Bear coffins on the day of the funeral and drive funeral vehicles.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and facilities, including vehicles.
• Prepare coffins and engrave name plates.
• Prepare the deceased for viewings and the funeral.
• Maintain client management systems with accurate, timely data.
• Safely lift and move coffins following safety guidance.
