Job summary

Novotel London Blackfriars is seeking a part-time Night Auditor to join our team in London. You will work three nights per week (Mon-Sun) with shifts from 22:30 to 07:00, reporting to the Front Office Manager and Night Manager.

Strong organisation, communication, and independence are essential to ensure accurate financial records and smooth overnight operations. Responsibilities include audits, guest check-ins/outs, daily reporting, guest assistance, and safety monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Conduct end-of-day financial audits and reconcile accounts.
• Facilitate overnight check-in/check-out and verify guest charges.

• Act as the primary hotel representative overnight.
• Assist guests with inquiries, reservations, and arrivals/departures.
• Resolve guest concerns to achieve positive outcomes.
• Monitor safety and security with the night team, escalate incidents.
• Assist with night menu prep and guest requests for beverages.

Job Description

We are on the search for a part-time Night Auditor to join our team at Novotel London Blackfriars. You will be required to work three nights shifts per week between Monday - Sunday therefore, full flexibility is essential. The typical shift times will be between 10.30pm - 7.00am however these may vary depending on business needs.

You will be reporting to the Front Office Manager and working under the direction of the Night Manager during overnight operations. Success in this role requires strong organisational and communication skills, a keen eye for detail and the ability to work independently.

• Conducting end-of-day financial audits, including reconciling accounts, verifying transactions and ensuring accuracy of financial records

• Facilitating check-in and check-out processes during overnight hours, ensuring accuracy of room charges, payments and guest information

• Generating and distributing daily reports summarising financial transactions, room occupancy and other relevant information for management review

• Acting as the primary hotel representative overnight, ensuring the smooth operation of the hotel in the absence of senior management

• Assisting guests during overnight hours, responding to enquiries, handling reservations and supporting late-night arrivals and early departures

• Proactively resolving guest concerns, aiming for positive and mutually beneficial outcomes

• Monitoring hotel safety and security systems overnight, working alongside the hotel’s dedicated security team, responding appropriately to incidents, alarms, or emergencies and escalating issues as required

• Assisting with the preparation or service of the night menu and ensuring guest requests for food or beverages are handled efficiently

Qualifications

About you…

• Previous experience using a Opera Cloud desirable, but not essential
• Exceptional customer service skills, communication and time management skills
• A friendly and warm personality with immaculate presentation
• A willingness to use initiative and strong problem solving skills
• Possess a proactive and resourceful approach with high level of accuracy and attention to detail

Salary: £15.30ph
