The Royal Shakespeare Company is seeking a part-time Music Resources Assistant in Stratford-upon-Avon on a fixed-term 12-month contract. The role supports musical activity across the Producing team, managing instruments, spaces, and equipment to help bring productions to life.

Reporting to the Music Manager, you will prepare spaces, maintain archives, coordinate equipment transport, and assist musicians and creative teams with inductions and sound checks.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of a range of musical genres and instrumentation.
• Familiarity with digital music files, music software and file-sharing platforms.
• Interest in theatre production and live performance.

Responsabilités

• Support requests relating to musical equipment and resources.
• Prepare rehearsal, recording and performance spaces, including set-up/striking of equipment.
• Source, maintain and catalogue instruments and equipment, keep inventories/archives.
• Coordinate transport, logistics and distribution of musical equipment.
• Support digital music resources, software and departmental equipment usage.
• Assist musicians and teams with inductions, sound checks and production activity.
